As a supporter of autism and creator MotherI am cheerful to announce that I will speak at the upcoming peak of autism parents! My session, entitled “Navigating for intimidation: building trust and courage“ This is a unique opportunity to delve into special challenges that autistic children are facing when it comes to intimidation.
For many autistic children, bullying is not only an isolated incident-it can be a repeated experience that affects their mental health, self-esteem and general well-being. As a mother of four, three of whom were diagnosed with autism, and someone who experienced these first -hand struggles, I understand the frustration and a broken heart that sees your child who faces these challenges. It is a journey that requires a slight balance of understanding, spokesman and strengthening.
Moving to intimidation of autism
In this session I will share practical strategies for parents:
- Recognize the signs: Learn how to see subtle and not very subtle signs that your child may experience intimidation.
- The spokesperson effectively: Understand how to move around the school system, communicate with teachers and make sure that the child’s needs will be met.
- Support confidence: Allow your child to build immunity and confidence, helping them stand strongly in the face of adversity.
